Deceuninck - Project Profile

Push-Back Storage Expands Deceuninck’s Production Capacity

Growth in the composite-decking and vinyl window and door markets inspired Deceuninck North America to significantly increase capacity at its Monroe, Ohio, production facility. Organizing and efficiently accessing an expanding variety of raw materials in a high-volume production environment had become a significant challenge.

The facility needed more efficient use of vertical space and quick access to stored materials.

Deceuninck Requirements

  • Organization for a large variety of raw materials
  • Quick, efficient access to stored raw materials
  • High-density storage of similar material
  • Maximum use of available storage space

RIDG-U-RAK Solution

  • Three-, four-, and seven-deep push-back systems
  • Three- and four-level-high configurations

“The rugged construction of the system that RIDG-U-RAK installed for us provides trouble-free operation, and their ongoing support has made a difference in our decision to purchase more rack.”
Steve Lawson, Plant Manager, Deceuninck North America

Push-back cart-on-rail storage system

Push-Back Cart-On-Rail System

Push-back systems offer storage density similar to drive-in rack while improving selectivity and access to a range of SKUs. Products stored in lanes rest on carts-on-rails, commonly available from two to six pallets deep.

From one aisle, the operator places a new load by pushing back stored pallets. When a pallet is retrieved, each subsequent pallet moves forward into a ready position. This last-in, first-out system reduces picking time when many pick faces are required.

RIDG-U-RAK’s patented design features large coated wheels with sealed bearings and linked carts for smooth operation.

Standard Load: 3,000 lbs.
